He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Wayne Kirby and Sarah Paul Kirby; his brother Elton; his sister-in-law Jane Kirby; his parents-in-law, Everett and Eva Dee Rogers; his sister-in-law Frances Mercer; and his nephews, Dennis and Michael Greene.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his daughters, Sharon Martin (Tom) and Susan Calhoun (Dennis); his grandchildren, Corey Martin (Victoria), Sara Martin, Eli Calhoun (Layla) and Benjamin Calhoun; his great grandchildren, Kayleigh Goss, Jaxsen Carroll and Jon Ramsey Martin; his sister Yvonne Friend (Chuck); and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Saffel (O. G.) and Billy Don Rogers (Suzie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hill Crest Memorial Chapel (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037).
