He was predeceased by: his siblings, Eddie Vasquez and Josie Velasco; and his son-in-law David Kalnasy, Sr.. He is survived by: his sister Helen Mendoza; and his children, Joseph, Rupert (Jahnnie), Cynthia and Richard. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
