He was predeceased by: his parents, John Padgett and Edna Padgett; and his wife Shirley. He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Pelt (Robert) and Gina Padgett; his grandchildren, Robert Pelt (Christy), Jeremy Pelt (Lea Ann) and Kristen Arnold (Cody); and his great grandchildren, Lane Pelt, Rylan Pelt, Preslea Pelt and Nevaeh Lewis.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be given to the Veterans of Foreign War.
