He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Eldo Mitchell and Mary Lee Evans Mitchell; his wife Beth Mitchell; his children, Cindy Delaney (Matt) and J. David Mitchell, Jr.; his sister Patsy Kirkpatrick; and his grandchildren, Jennie Delaney Lucchesi (Alex), Nick Delaney (Alex Noble) and John Michael Lucchesi. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
