He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Shaw and Maxie Brown Shaw; his siblings, Mery Henry, Charles "Buddy" Shaw, Hobbs Shaw and Robert Shaw; his stepson Kenneth Reeves; and his stepgranddaughter Kathleen Suzette.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kevin, Devan, Joshua, Geanie, Alexis, E'Lise, Brandi, Kara, Joey, Zachary, Ashley and Amber; his wife Diana Shaw; his sons, Chad Shaw (Jennifer) and Mark Shaw; his stepdaughter Shannon Reeves; his siblings, Dorothy Jean White, Patricia Strickland, Al Shaw (Brenda), Bill Shaw, Don Shaw (Nancy), Eddie Shaw and Kenneth Shaw (Cindy); and his brother-in-law Clinton Henry. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a long list of very special friends.
