He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul and Eva. He is survived by: his children, Josh Blackburn (Stephanie) of Bossier City, Lindsey Blackburn of Shreveport and Anna Crenshaw (Brady) of Shreveport; his grandchildren, Baylee Blackburn, Mamie Smitherman, Ezra and Naomi Crenshaw; his siblings, Robert Paul Blackburn (Arleen) of Glendora, California, Rudy Blackburn (Malissa) of Bossier City, Louisiana and Dixie Bowles of Raleigh; his grandsons, Will Blackburn and Alex Blackburn; his nephews, Jim Blackburn, Heath Blackburn, Rick Blackburn, Rob Blackburn and David Bowles; and also Robert Morris. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana.
