She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Marshall and Lille R. Jones; her husband Tim Johnson III; and her brothers, J. D. Marshall Jr. and Larry Marshall.

She is survived by: her children, Colonel Nichelle A. Johnson and Frederick Thomas (Norma); her granddaughter Caitlin Cooper; and her siblings, Linda Marshall, Bobby Marshall (Emma), Sugar Ray Marshall (Linna) and Rudolph Marshall. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
