He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Mason and Dorothy Sapp Mason; his mother-in-law Marie Bourque; and his brother-in-law Freddy Bourque. He is survived by: his wife Susan Bourque Mason; his children, Rodney Mason (Melanie), Terry Don Mason and Max Mason (Miranda); his grandsons, Maddox of Cooper, J. J. and Zack Mason; his siblings-in-law, John Bourque (Carol), Carolyn Ward (Gerry) and Janie Gorum (Steve); and also Paula Claudis.
He continued to play right up until he contracted Covid in August of 2020.
