He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Samuel Hay Sr. and Mary Hay Kees; and his stepfather Ralph Kees. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Carter Hay; and his siblings, Samuel Hay (Cherie), Christol Whitlock (Jim) and Bonnie Frederick (Scott).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Elm Grove Baptist Church (8180 Barksdale Blvd, Bossier City, LA 71112). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial Park (601 US Highway 80 East).
