He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brewer, Jr. and Jolene Bass Brewer; his siblings, John Brewer, III and Susan Brewer Fields; and his son Charles "Bubba" Brewer, Jr..

He is survived by: his daughter Denise Brewer Diviney (David); his grandchildren, Ashley Gardner, Blake Horton (Grecia), Chelsea Smith (C. J.) and Justin Brewer (Ashtyn Vines); his siblings, James Brewer (Rosa), Larry Brewer, Sherry Brewer Schad, Johnnie Nicolaisen (Jim) and Elizabeth O'Donnell (Tom); his sister-in-law Sandy Bonsall Brewer; and his great grandchildren, Bradely Horton, Bella Horton, Charli Smith and Oakley Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
