She was predeceased by: her husband Rodger Adams; her brothers, John Higgins II and Michael Higgins; and her sister-in-law Bunny Higgins. She is survived by: her daughters, Marjorie Edmiston (Robert Bruce) and Christina Cobb (Douglas Cobb); her grandchildren, Caleb Edmiston and Madison Cobb; her great grandchild Willow Cobb; her brothers, Edwin Higgins, Donald Higgins, Kenneth Higgins (Sherry) and Douglas Higgins (Mary Ann); and her sister-in-law Virginia Stephenson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial Park (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037).
