She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hill and Elsie Hill; her husband John Minnis; her brother Dean Hill; and her son-in-law Robert Van Zandt.

She is survived by: her children, Joyce Van Zandt and Mark Minnis; her granddaughter Karen LaBorde (Kenny); her great grandchildren, Justin Spangler, Allison Laborde, Emily LaBorde, Matthew Laborde, Kim Minnis, Kaaran West (Greg) and Kathy Twilley (Ed); and also Shu Cha. She is also survived by five great-great grandchildren; and 2 great-great-great grandsons as well as numerous extended family.
