He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert W. McDougal and Martha Powell McDougal; his children, Sherilyn Park and Alton Lee McDougal; his grandson Brandon Montelbano; his son-in-law John Pinckard; and his siblings, Ranceford, Benny, Jimmy, Alice Wood and Joyce Gardner.

He is survived by: his significant other Bonifaye Luther McDougal; his daughters, Marsha Pinckard, Nina Stratton (Gary), Teresa Boone and Laura Phillips (Hutch); and his siblings, Harold McDougal, Ann Jaeger and Nell Phillippe. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
