He was predeceased by: his parents, Sydney Sr. Montet and Floride Montet; and his siblings, Betty Albert, Sydney Montet, Jr., Carl Montet, Sr. and Loyce Smith.
He is survived by: his former wife Mary Lena Treloar Montet; his daughter Toni Crum (William); his grandson Eric Allred (Whitney); his great grandchildren, Chasity Nicole Allred, Marshall Allred (Hannah), Kizer Yount (Ally) and Mia Ruth Allred; and his stepchildren, Leisa Benningfield (Steve), Bob Vance (Angie), Karen Barton (Gregory), Darlene Rodriguez (Armando) and Sandra Daigle (Douglas). He is also survived by six step-grandchildren and eleven step great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home (7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 622 Ave A, Westwego, LA 70094.
