He was predeceased by: his son William "Billy" Berger, Jr.; his parents, William "Red" Berger and Mary Ellen Reaney Berger; and his siblings, Reaney Berger, Sr., Raymond Charles Berger and Mary Ellen Berger.
He is survived by: his spouse Rosabell Adams Berger; his daughters, Lisa Berger Paitsel and Margaret Ann "Magi" Berger; his grandchildren, Samuel ONeil Babin (Cecilia), Nina Rose Babin, Ellie Marie Babin, Jacob David Strickland and Hannah Strickland Lastrapes (Shawn); and his goddaughter Kelly Favre Hawk. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
