He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Herman Taylor Sr. and Duetta Grant Taylor Coleman; his step-father Royal Coleman; his grandchild Jordyn Skye Javery; his sister Elaine Taylor Rodgers; and his grandparents, Ella, Charles Grant and Bessie.
He is survived by : his wife Sharon Helaire Taylor; his children, Shondra Anderson (Eric Sr.), Chandra (John), Van Jr. (Whitney) and Vincent Taylor; his grandchildren, Micah, Leon Jr., Eric Jr., Madison, Evan, Christian, Ethan, Ean, Eden and Brooklyn; his siblings, Bessie Lonon, Verna Frazier (Roy), Dana Black (Kenneth), Yvette LeBlanc, Nadrienne Hawkins, Fay Taylor, Mona Taylor, Samuel Taylor, Wanda Taylor and Rodney Taylor; his mother-in-law Ruthie Helaire; his siblings-in-law, Elaine Granger (Andrew), Gloria Smith (Reginald), Monica Helaire (Bryan), Rosalind Byrd (Jeffery), Kenneth Helaire, Rodney Helaire and Ronald Helaire; and his close friends, Cornel Garrison, Percy Small, Rene Anderson, Errol Matthews, Shone Bush and Tarrence Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
