Merrick; his children, Chantell (Leon), Michael (Kelleen), Kentrell (Cyrstal), Latrell (Mitchell), Tirrell (Michelle) and Samaria; his parent Myrtle I. Merrick; and his siblings, Don Merrick (Van), Dede Dawsey (Greg) and Johnny Merrick. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
