With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roland John Bourgeois Sr. (Harvey, Louisiana), who passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Evest J. Bourgeois, Jr. and Belle Ann Christian Bourgeois; his son Frank Bourgeois (Roxanne); and his siblings, Daniel Bourgeois, Rita Nicolosi, Ruth Buras, Mack Bourgeois, Myrtle Aucoin, Clyde Bourgeois and Anita Oberschmidt.
He is survived by: his spouse Gail Keller Bourgeois; his children, Roland J. Bourgeois Jr. (Cheryl), Robert Bourgeois (Ida), Gary Bourgeois and Dale Bourgeois (Joy); and his siblings, Jenny Walthers and Norman Bourgeois. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church (600 2nd Ave, Harvey, LA 70058). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mary Help of Christians Church (600 2nd Ave, Harvey, LA 70058). A burial will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, LA 70056).
