He was predeceased by: his parents, Ozell Penton and Linnie Gatlin Penton; and his grandparents, Ira Penton, Olivia Penton-Baleware, T. C. and Irene Gatlin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Anthony Penton (Karen) of Dallas, Keith Penton, Deborah Peters, Priscilla Penton, Shalaletia Davis and Tabitha Penton. He is also survived by 1 son, 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
