With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvina Prestly Gordon of Harvey, Louisiana, born in Darrow, Louisiana, who passed away on July 2, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Cleveland Gordon, Jr.; her parents, Herbert Prestly and Odeal Prestly; and her brother Lloyd Herbert Prestly. She is survived by: her husband Cleveland Gordon; her children, Mercedes Jones (Aubrey), Odile Gordon and Betty Gordon; her grandchildren, Aubrey Jones, Jr. (Lindsey) and Valeri Jones; her great grandchildren, Robinson and Reese Jones; and her siblings, Sandra Fairman, Rudolph Prestly, Ruby Mae Simms and Mary Thomas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
