She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel James; her daughter Gloria Dean James Johnson (Bobby); and her sister Irma Shepard Lewis. She is survived by: her daughter Bernadine James Harrell (Eugene); and her sister Melvina "Lady" Shepard Keller. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
