He was predeceased by: his son Jarrod Vaughn Dumes; his parents, Paul Dumes and Yola Dumes; and his siblings, Marvin Dumes, Sidney Dumes, Paul Dumes, Patrick Dumes, Dennis Dumes, Don Dumes and Shirley Dumes Rachal.
He is survived by: his spouse Johnnie "Joan" Vaughn Dumes; his children, Dameon Dumes and Sanetta Dumes Green (Kelton); and his siblings, John Orel Dumes (Rose), Patsy Woods (Barnett), Janis Dumes, Judy Brown, Ray Dumes (Sandra) and Gregory Dumes (Monica). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Cletus Catholic Church (3600 Claire Ave, Gretna, LA 70053). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. FACE MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED.
