He was predeceased by: his wife Georgia Byrd; his parents, Willie Byrd and Easter Byrd-Elmore; and his brother Sylvester. He is survived by: his children, Lionel Curtis and Jalilh Francis; and his siblings, Josie Cooper, Doris Byrd (Jeffery), Susana Byrd, Amos Byrd (Bernadette), Isaiah Byrd (Angie), Aaron Byrd, Willie, Jr., Johnny, George, Raphael Byrd and Catherine Crystain. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
