He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Babin Romero; his brother Owen Romero; and his parents, John I. Romero and Veda Baker Romero. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Adrienne Remy Clements (Chad), Jordan Remy, Mark Parria, Jr. (Stephanie), Ashley Parria Bourgeois (Chad), Jozie Bonner, Ehren Breaux (Annalise) and Lezli Breaux Hudson (Cody); and his great grandchildren, Hunter Parria and Hazel Hudson.
