He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gerrets and Shirly Holden Gerrets (Holden); and his siblings, Charlene Hanson (Donald), Michael, Francis and Debbie Wellman (Dean).
He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia Hebert (Patty) and Nellie Gerrets. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Harvey - Mothe Funeral Homes (2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA 70058). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home (2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA 70058). A burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM at the St Bartholomew Cemetery-Algiers (501 De Armas St, New Orleans, LA 70114).
