With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janice Bell Cotton of Harvey, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 29, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Janice leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her sisters, Claudia Bell Cobb and Rhonda Olivier; and her husband Rev. John W. Cotton. She is survived by: her children, Arevia, Yvette, John, Ira and Tyran Cotton. She is also survived by 4 Children, 13 Grand Children, 10 Great Children, 1 Sister, 1 Sister-in-law, and a host, of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Second Zion #1 Baptist Church (2929 Second Street, Marrero, LA 70072). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (3540 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094).
