She was predeceased by: her husband Mason Hunter, Sr.; her child Terry B. Hunter; her parents, John Young and Flora Young; and her siblings, Annie Y. Smith, Albert Young and Richard Young.
She is survived by: her children, Mason Hunter, Jr. (Adrian), Cynthia Banks (Arthur) and Lear Owens (Rickey); her siblings, Ida Robertson, Carol Cooke and Gene Young (Carolyn); her siblings-in-law, Laura, Jessie, Ozean, Evelyn and Betty; her goddaughter Donna Marie Blake; and her close friends, Susie Williams and Toni DeCuire. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
