He was predeceased by: his parents, Herlin Pierre Sr. and Josephine McGinnis. He is survived by: his wife Deitrich Pierre; his children, Herlin, Kevin, Karen, Kimothy, Jafar, Balah and Byran; his siblings, Leroy Pierre, Karen Pierre, Anita Pierre and Sylvia Brown; and his cousin Verde Lee Dolliole. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
