It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Marie Hayes Corder of Harvey, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on January 17, 2021, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandchild Malki Eugene Atkins; her parents, Phillip Hayes, Sr. and Saint Cecil Odeal Hayes; her grandparents, Benjamin, Eliza Hatten and Alnora Hayes; her sister Vera Hayes Boothe; her former husband Willie Atkins II; and also Ayesha Majeed.
She is survived by: her spouse Willie Corder, Jr.; her children, Willie Atkins III and Amber T. Corder; her grandchildren, Taurean Williams, Jada Atkins, Willie Atkins IV and Armani Eugene Atkins; her siblings, Ruby Hayes Dorsey Salisbury, Phillip Hayes, Jr. and Benjamin Hayes; her aunt Ernestine Hogan; and also Kenya Cecilia Hayes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends.
