He was predeceased by: his wife Karen; his father William Barnes Sr.; and his mother-in-law Leah Brown. He is survived by: his children, Gary Jr. and Jennifer; his son-in-law Christopher Ingram; his mother Lucy B. Domangue; his brothers, William Barnes, Jr. (Myra) and Timothy Barnes (Priscilla); and his sisters-in-law, Cynthia Muhleisen and Sheila Brown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
