He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Nettles; his children, Ernest Nettles, Jr. (Raquel), Michael Nettles, Sr. (Angelina), Cabrini Scott, Yolanda Nickerson, Jacquelyn Nettles, Latandra Marshall and Elizabeth Nettles; his siblings, William Nettles, Jr., Jerry Nettles (Deborah), Lavern Smith, Sally Rose Mallory (Lewis) and Robert Ellzy, Jr.; his siblings-in-law, David McGowan, Sheryl Marshall Brown, Shirley Otis Nettles and Dedrick "Dickey" Marshall; and his nephew Oliver Ellzy, Sr.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
