He was predeceased by: his son Edward C. Ragas, Jr.; his parents, Edward Mitchell Ragas and Meriam Riley; and his brother Merlin "Big Mert" Ragas, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Michael, Aaron, Steven, Diana, Kesha, Korbett Sr. (Nequita), Flemming, Sr. (Chandra), Joey, Sr. (Lerthicia), Jamia Ragas, Claudette Ann Ragas and Kenneth Ragas; and his siblings, Roy Ragas, James D. Ragas, Sr. and Yvonne R. "Tootie" Gibbs. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
