She was predeceased by: her brother Clarence Hunter, Sr.; and her children, Samuel Ellis, Clarence Hunter, Jr. and Deloris Jenkins. She is survived by: her children, Gloria Green, Anne-Mae Lanaute, Amender Smith, Jacqueline Scott (Jack, Sr.), Corliss Garner (Robert), Darrell Hunter (Danielle), Lawrence Hunter (Betty), Reginald Hunter, Sr. (Lisa), Terrence Hunter, Sr. (Taisha), Paul Hunter, Sr. (Alicia), Christopher Hunter and Malcolm Hunter, Sr. (Lakeisha). She is also survived by grandchildren, (262) great-grandchildren, and (98) great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Israel Baptist Church (1612 Esther St, Harvey, LA 70058). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at the Evening Star Baptist Church Cemetery (1017 Grefer Ave, Harvey, LA 70058).
