He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Schouest Baye; his parents, Jules Baye and Enola Orgeron Baye; his brother Steven Baye; and his sibling-in-law Larry Schouest.

He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Richoux (Terry); his grandchildren, Erin Sketchler (Owen) and Lauren Hackett (Ryan); his great grandchild Oliver "Ollie" Sketchler; his siblings, Joyce Plaisance, Jules Baye, Gerald Baye (Mona), Carolyn Horos (Ray) and Susan Allemand (Wayne); and his siblings-in-law, Charles (Barbara) and Brenda Schouest. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
