She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Grant and Ella Thomas Grant; her spouse Vernell Justice; her child Lavern Justice; and her sister Leona.
She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Douglas (late Clarence), June of Washington, Mattie Justice, Sharon Johnson, Herbert Grant, Marilyn Grant and Anthony Girod; and her siblings, Edna, Ella, Gladys, Ruth, Duetta, Charles, Thomas and Leo Grant. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren, twenty-one great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and devoted friends.
