He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Smith; his brother Ernest Weatherspoon; his grandparents, Spurgeon, Sr. and Daisy Stamps; his nieces and nephews, Dalton Fredericks, Jr. and Cyanne Fredericks; his aunts and uncles, Josie S. Craft (late Wallace, Sr.) and Enner Sayles; and also Sidney Landry.
He is survived by: his mother Lorine Stamps Weatherspoon; his children, Darryl Goirl (Jessica), Dawand Young, Anita and Larry Weatherspoon; and his siblings, Gloria Fredericks, Georgia Buggage (Herman), Yetta and Larry Weatherspoon (Renita). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
