It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cleveland Joseph Matthews Jr. of Harvey, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland Matthews and Beatrice Matthews; and his siblings, Doris Hunter, Shirley Holmes, Clarence, Larrry Douglas and Cess Matthews, Sr..
He is survived by: his sons, Cleveland Matthews, III and Joshua Warmington; his siblings, Willie Mae Johnson, Ida Mae Douglas, Verlia Mae Lewis, Amelia Gail Noel, Minister Roy Matthews and Charles Douglas; his child-in-law Toleah Matthews; and his siblings-in-law, Willie Noel, Sr., Francis Matthews and Evelyn Douglas. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
