He was predeceased by: his spouse Fabaria Ann Carpenter; and his parents, Juanita Carpenter and Harvey Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, Marcus Carpenter (Tanya) and Carla Lacour (Kevin); his siblings, Billy, Hayden and Roy Clyde "R. C."; his grandchildren, Marcus Carpenter, Jr. and Grace Lacour; and his great grandchild Marcus Carpenter, III. He is also survived by one step-son and survived by 2 step-daughters, 7 step-grandchildren, 6 step-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
