It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Lee Nixon of Harvey, Louisiana, born in Saint Francisville, Louisiana, who passed away on August 14, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Nixon and Francis Nixon; her siblings, Cora Foster, Flozell Cooks, Oralee Allen, Viola Nixon Buckley, William Nixon Sr. and Jerry Nixon; and her daughter Betty Jean Vessel.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Rindell, Bessie Vessel and Joe Ann Vessel Brown (Gervin Mitchell). She is also survived by great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins' other relatives and devoted friends.
