She was predeceased by: her husband Alton J. Encalade, Sr.; and her parents, James S. Trufant, Sr. and Mary Griffin Trufant. She is survived by: her children, Tyrone Trufant (Leslie), Trichina Williams (Christopher) and Akeia Johnson (David); her siblings, James Jr. (Marva), Lloyd Sr. (Constance) of Tacoma Washington, Errol (Almena), Ervin (Vanessa), Bernell (Mona), Kerry Sr. Trufant (Demetria), Audrey Salvant (Elton) and Ursula Broussard (John, Sr); her grandchildren, Tyrone, Ashton, Ashai, Micah, Mason and Karaaz; and her godchildren, Kirsten Broussard, Brandy Trufant, Dawn Green and Kenaz Armand. She is also survived by aunt, two uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
