He is survived by: his wife Maria Elena Ramirez; his children, Abraham Cookmeyer, Rebecca Thompson (Norris), Aime Creel (Bule), Brandi Perez (Ediberto) and Anthony Cookmeyer (Lachelle); his siblings, Joseph Cookmeyer (Earlene), Alice Bailey (Daniel), William Cookmeyer (late Sherry) and Janet Cookmeyer (Brigitte); and his grandchildren, Candace, Josh, Chris, Michael, Emmaly, Christian, Shawn Jr., Shane, Ian, Rebecca, Beverly, Gracie, Amelia, Olivia, Reina, Yareli, Acacia, Jaime, Matthew, Tristan and Elijah. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
