He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Pepitone Dugas; his son Derek A. Dugas (Jamie); his brother Rodney Dugas (Judy); and his parents, Clovis Dugas, Sr. and Olga Hepting Dugas.

He is survived by: his children, Alvin H. Dugas, Jr. (Tracy) and Sherri D. Scheid (Michael); his grandchildren, Lauren Williamson (Aaron) and Kristen Killgore; his great grandchild Grayson "Rusty" Williamson; and his siblings, Clovis Dugas, Jr. (Edna), Gerald Dugas (Wilda), Sylvia Breaux (Stephen, Jr.) and Gaynel Kliebert (Lester, Jr.). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
