It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Dell Montpelier of Harrisonburg, Louisiana, who passed away on June 18, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Mize and Zona George Mize; her husband Eulis Edward Montpelier; her sons, Louis Montpelier, Elvis Montpelier and Ronnie Montpelier; her son-in-law Dewayne Jones; her granddaughter Kendall Ann; and her siblings, Edith Smalling, Lillie Deemes, Kathleen Ellard, Estelle Alexander, Verdell Grevenberg, Ida Faye Mize, Jackie Lee Mize, I, V. Mize and Virgil Delmar Mize.
She is survived by: her children, Lionel Montpelier (Johnnie) of Jonesville, Maurice Montpelier (Joyce) of Aimwell, Shelby Montpelier (Rita) of Aimoch, Gary Montpelier (Rhonda) of Aimoch, Marvin Montpelier of Harrisonburg, Shannon Mayo (Daniel) of Harrisonburg, Jean Jones of Winnsboro and Sandra Barnett (Daniel) of Gulf Port, Mississippi. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; eighty-five great grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
