With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Masilio Carreca of Harahan, Louisiana, born in Independence, Louisiana, who passed away on July 22, 2023 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Masilio and Carmela Giambrone; her husband Jake Anthony Carreca; and her siblings, Jennie Taromina, Margaret Puloma, Carmelo Masilio, Mary Callia, Joseph Masilio and Lena Bourgeois.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Ann Carreca and Deborah Maria Carreca; her pet Morgan Patricia; her half-brother Charlie Mondabello; and her godchildren, Joseph Giambrone and Frances Reed. She is also survived by nephews, and five favorite nephews.
