He was predeceased by: his wife Connie Voltz Hux; his parents, Fred Hux and Estelle Robbins Hux; his parents-in-law, Milton Voltz and Delores Manale Voltz; and his brother-in-law Milton Voltz, Jr..

He is survived by: his sons, Stephen Hux, Jr. and Michael Hux (Christina); his grandchildren, Jake and Josie Hux; and his sister Marylin Houston.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home (2607 Williams Blvd, Kenner, LA 70062). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
