He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Holmes Kives; and his parents, Juliana Juhasz Kives and Alexander Kives. He is survived by: his children, Steve John Kives (Melissa), Carol Kives Manfredo (Robert), Rosalind Kives Maddox (Todd) and Byron Patrick Kives (Shannon); his grandchildren, Ryan David Boehm (Julie), James Bradley Fuselier (Misty), Thomas Michael Ginther III, Tamra Julianna Manfredo, Matthew Aaron Kives, Tyler Andrew Kives and Kelly Elizabeth Kives; and his great grandchildren, Camille Elizabeth Fuselier, Wren Nelson, Colette Elise Boehm and Chloe Evelyn Boehm.
