He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Andrew Abry and Carmel Buisson Abry; and his siblings, Carmel A. Patterson, Ann A. McGehee and Edgar Abry.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Makofsky Abry; his children, Emily A. Barre' (Daniel Barre') and Herman Gregory Abry (Michelle B. Abry); his grandchildren, Alyssa Barre'Bourgeois, Julia Barre'Reuther, Monique Abry Knoepfler, Thomas Abry and Patrick Abry; his great grandchildren, Brady Bourgeois, Bryce Bourgeois, James Reuther, Casey Reuther, Adrian Reuther and Vivienne Abry; and his brothers, George Abry and John Abry. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Rita Catholic Church (7100 Jefferson Hwy, Harahan, LA 70123). A Mass was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
