He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Anatole and Lillian Broussard (Thiac); his wife Margaret Graner Broussard; and his siblings-in-law, Inez Graner, John Eugene Foss III and Thomas J. Graner.
He is survived by: his children, Edward James "Jimmy" Broussard, Jr. (Ella), Robin Constant (Timothy), Mark Broussard (Dawn), Renee Oatis (Kevin) and Rebecca Harmann (Geoffrey); his sister Mary Louise Broussard Foss; his siblings-in-law, William J. Graner, Jr. (Marilyn), Paul A. Graner (Darlene Olivier) and Lynne H. Graner; his grandchildren, Ryan Oatis, Edward J. Broussard III, Rachel Roberts, Courtney Constant Bowlin (Christopher), Clayton Constant, Adam Broussard, Ashleigh Oatis, Lauren Broussard, Joseph Broussard, Raegan Harmann and Lillian Harmann; and his great grandchild Anastasia Bowlin.
In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred, or a donation can be made in his name to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
