He was predeceased by: his parents, Eusebe Hernandez and Nora Picou Hernandez of Harvey, LA.; and his son Gene Louis Hernandez. He is survived by: his sons, Douglas James Hernandez, Jr. (Julie) and Rickey Joseph Hernandez (Barbara); his grandchildren, Brandi H. Provencher (Terry), Brian D. Hernandez (Brandi) and Joshua J. Hernandez (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Ava Hernandez, Wyatt Hernandez and Madeline Hernandez; his siblings, Margaret Lutz, Ethel Winterstein and Ronald Hernandez; and his wife Betty. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks are required to attend.
