He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Seemann, (Ballard) and Charles Frederick Seemann, Sr.; his wife Nancy Seemann (Impastato); and the mother of his children Dorothy Seemann (Bagby). He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Seemann Wellborn and Charles Frederick Seemann III (Amy); his brother Arthur Douglas Seemann (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Amelie Seemann, Patricia Seemann, Charles F. Seemann IV, Catherine Wellborn, Samuel Wellborn, Thomas Wellborn, Peyton Moggio, Cameryn Moggio, Courtney Moggio and Ian Moggio; and his great grandchild Micheal Anthony Breland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to De La Salle High School in New Orleans in recognition of Charlie's love for his alma mater or to the WWII Museum in recognition of Charlie's respect for those who have served.
